What it looks like: 2-3 mm in length. Its head and pronotum are yellowish to reddish-brown, with prominent, curved teeth on the sides. The elytra are yellow with black patches and have striae, or even rows of shallow punctures. Where you'll find it: They live in the central and northern parts of the Sierra Nevada into south-central Oregon. Natural History: These beetles inhabit damp forests in cooler regions.
